Have you noticed that when you give a child a gift, they are more interested in exploring the box and wrapping than in what is inside? That is what loose parts are all about! Loose parts could be a plastic tube, a cardboard box, sticks or stones. What happens when your child finds these materials outside? Children are naturally curious and when we invite them to explore loose parts in our outdoor space, there is freedom to move and explore.

A one-session interactive parent-child program that offers an opportunity to prepare a healthy kid-approved recipe using fresh ingredients!
When we involve children in meal preparation, we’re not just having fun, we’re also developing self-confidence, important life skills and promoting healthy eating habits while we prepare and cook a meal together. Trying new recipes together provides lots of learning opportunities, and a chance for children to explore new ingredients and maybe even try something new. The results are delicious!

Bring your bikes, trikes, strollers, scooters, wagons, anything with wheels. PCFC’s Wheelie Parade returns this summer to Antrim and for the first time in Apsley. We will be decorating and parading around our new track (Antrim) and beyond. Don’t have the wheels? We’ve got you covered. Helping Your Child Develop Social-Emotional Skills
Children 2 to 6 years old
– Do you feel like you and your child are riding a rollercoaster of emotions?
– Do you have a child who is hesitant to join in with their peers?
– Do you have a little one who seems to regularly experience ‘tummy aches’ (nervous feelings) before heading into new situations?
This one evening Triple P parent session will include discussions of what Social and Emotional learning is, why it is important to your family and the sharing of tips to help children develop skills that help them build relationships, solve problems, and regulate their emotions.
