Canadian Prenatal Nutrition Program


PCFC’s specialized programs for pregnant and parenting families experiencing challenging life circumstances.

Referral and registration is required as there is a limited number of spaces. Our referral form can be found HERE. We accept both agency and self-referrals. For any questions please email us or call (705) 748-9144.

Please note, theses program do NOT run through the summer, however referrals are still accepted.


Please, note that our CAPC/CPNP programs are NOT offered during the Summer months of July and August.

Coming to Norwood in the Fall

Families First

Six weeks only

Pregnant and/or parenting families with children birth to 3 years old

Registration and agency or self referral required – check at a later date for registration opening.

This program is for families who are experiencing challenging life circumstances. This program supports the health and wellbeing of families by building a support network, encouraging parent-child attachment and learning together through play.

Babies First Prenatal Nutrition Program

Focused on helping women prepare for labour, birth and the transition to parenthood in a highly supportive environment.

Fridays ǀ 10:00am to 12:00pm

Steps and Stages

For families with infants birth to 12 months. This program focuses on play, learning and parent-infant attachment.

Families Connect 

For families with children 13 months to 4 years. This program focuses on play, learning and parent-child relationships.

Mondays ǀ 10:00am to 12:00pm


  • Regular connection with Program Coordinators and Educators.
  • Support from our Community Health Nurse and Lactation Consultant.
  • Access to workshops eg. comforts in labour, breastfeeding basics, mindfulness and self-care, child development, feeding your baby, healthy nutrition, positive parenting strategies etc.
  • Opportunities for social interaction with other pregnant and parenting families.
  • Referrals to other services in our community.
  • Access to healthy cooking recipes and tips.
  • Grocery gift cards for program participation.

Once a completed referral is submitted, the parent/guardian will receive a follow-up phone call from the coordinator.
