NEW! Changes to public health requirements in PCFC Programs!
Dear PCFC Families,
As you are likely aware, the Chief Medical Officer of Health for Ontario announced a significant easing of public health restrictions, effective Monday, March 21st. These restrictions are also being lifted in the education sector, including schools, licensed child care, and EarlyON family support programs. In response to this, PCFC is adapting our policies and procedures related to Covid-19.
In alignment with masking requirements in the larger community, PCFC will no longer be requiring masks for any individuals attending our programs and services. This includes participants, volunteers, and staff. There are two exceptions to be aware of. If you have returned to Canada recently, you must wear a mask in public settings until you have been back in the country for 14 days. If you have been isolating due to a suspected or confirmed case of Covid-19, you must continue to mask in public setting for 10 days after the day your symptoms appeared, or you received a positive test result.
– Vaccine Disclosure
PCFC participants are no longer required to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to entry into program. PCFC continues to maintain its vaccination policy for staff and volunteers, and 100% of our staff and volunteers are fully vaccinated.
– Physical Distancing
As the province is no longer requiring physical distancing in any indoor or outdoor settings, PCFC will be removing this requirement in all programs and services.
There are some measures that will continue:
Please continue to screen for Covid-19 symptoms for yourself and your child prior to attending program, using the Province of Ontario’s school screening tool. Please do not come to program if either you or your child(ren) have one or more symptoms of Covid-19.
We continue to use standalone HEPA units at our Antrim Street site, and all of our school sites have modern HVAC systems, with upgraded filters and regular air exchanges.
Enhanced cleaning and disinfection continues, all facilities are cleaned and disinfected a minimum of once daily, and between programs.
