Loose Parts in the Playscape

Drop-in ǀ Children 0 to 6 years old

Have you noticed that when you give a child a gift, they are more interested in exploring the box and wrapping than in what is inside? That is what loose parts are all about!  It could be a plastic tube, a cardboard box, sticks or stones. What happens when your child finds these materials outside? Children are naturally curious and when we invite them to explore loose parts in our outdoor space, there is freedom to move and explore.

The possibilities are endless! Come join us for some fun.

This practical workshop is designed for parents and caregivers of young children (age 1-3) who want to better understand why young children “don’t listen” and gain the tools to communicate in ways that invite cooperation, and build secure, connected relationships using strategies from the Conscious Discipline program.

This program offers a deeper understanding of how we learn to regulate our emotions and find ways to stay calm and connected during typical parenting challenges.

Single Session

Children 1 to 3 years old

Will my toddler ever sleep without my help?

Many parents find themselves asking this question as bedtime approaches. Helping children learn how to sleep independently can feel like a long, sometimes confusing and frustrating task, especially at a time when parents are tired too.

In this evening discussion we will chat about the sleep needs of toddlers and share some ideas on how parents can help their children begin their journey toward sleeping independently.
